I'm like that with a bunch of stuff, just one of those personality quirks. But it's still a shame you can't trust things like that. But alls well that ends well,

was on the phone with a Bosch rep years ago
"Do not DIY rebuild a Bosch fuel pump or the CIS fuel distributor. The clearances are extremely tight. You are taking a chance of a leak immediately or in the future. Only Bosch should rebuild."
