Looks like a beauty! I'd love to see it sometime when I'm in Louisville.

I still have the Lindsey's. I need to check the offsets to see if they will fit this car. If they do, I may refinish to a factory RSR finish and sell these 3 piece wheels. If they won't fit, I will put them up for sale.

Very cool car. I had a viper for 2 years that was super charged and had all the viper goodies. Just going to get coffee cost an arm and a leg in gas. BUT, it was fun while it lasted. I put R rated tires in the rear, and there is something very un-nerving hitting second gear at almost 60 mph and the rear end breaking loose. Especially when that happens in 3 seconds. I can't tell you how many times that car scared the crap out of me, my wife and my friends. But it was a good kind of scared.
Have fun in the new ride.

If you decide to sell either set let me have first dibs please. I've got a guy interested in my 8and 10x16s (Gary Stratton 10x16s). I want some Lindsey or Stratton 17s to replace them.

DougM 03-03-2008 02:22 AM

Once I figure things out, I will definitely be selling 1 pair. If the Lindsey offsets won't work on the car, they will go. If they will, I will send them for re-finish and then the 3-piece Stratton set will go. I will let you know.

wonderful interior. Great for an older car and looks like it can perform..

Deschodt 03-03-2008 11:00 AM

Wasn't that car at Dave White's last year ? IF that's the same, $$$$$ !

elpresidente 03-03-2008 12:22 PM

Sweet!!! We need to organize a Louisville Area Pelican Coffee Day. Looks like a lot us got new to us P-cars this winter!

DougM 03-03-2008 12:59 PM

Yes, Dave White did the work on the car and had Gary Stratton do the body. The owner developed a medical condition and his doctor told him that he would be better off staying off the track.

Elpresidente, you should stop by a PCA meeting. It is next Monday at the dealer. We usually all go out and have a drink after.

elpresidente 03-03-2008 03:01 PM

Thanks. Sounds like a plan. I'm a new PCA member as of December.

I have loaded a side shot if anyone is good at photoshop and could maybe put on some Carrera and Porsche script in black, gray and white? When the weather clears again, I may see if I can pressure wash the paint off the wheels.

bueller, bueller?

oh and i like it without the carrera script

DougM 03-04-2008 02:19 AM

The car has a 915 trans and from the records, the shifter is a wevo915 with the shifter coupling and a taller shift knob ordered through Smart Racing Products.

Iowa911, thanks for the pics, it gives me some idea.

gestalt1 03-04-2008 05:29 AM

with the yellow i think something a little wilder would work. the graphics on these ST 911s would look awsome and would match the red interior.

Beautiful car!

I love the interior, very original. What color is it? Cork? Seems a little more red that Dane's car.

I agree with Jeremy's comments above. I would go with blackened out Fuchs and black Carrera script.

Anyway congratulations on a wonderful purchase!

In that case, heartfelt congratulations ! This car is beau*ti*ful, even better in person than on those pictures... That spot on the front hood is leftover from my drool when I saw it in person ! You are a lucky guy !

DougM 03-04-2008 12:44 PM

Matteo, the interior is Boxster Red. The owner had found the red GT3 seats and then dyed the dash, knee pads and door pieces to match. Carpet is the standard RS set from Appbiz.

Greg
Thanks for the comments. I was surprised when I found the car in the PCA classifieds that it was still available, especially after seeing what went into it.

Gestalt
Although I do like those color schemes, I think they are a bit much for a car that will be a street car most of the time. I think my wife would decline date nights if we had to pull up to a nice restaurant in something that wild. Your signature shows a blue RSR. Do you have a picture?

s2per 03-04-2008 01:00 PM

I've seen that car up close and personal in Tampa and it's even better than the pictures show. Congrats on a very cool purchase!
