The first thing I would recommend is to look for the missing magnets to make sure they don't cause any expensive damage to the internals of the transmission.

Second on finding the missing magnets. If you can find the same dimension magnet, you can expoxy them in place. I have a disk with three good magnets, let me know if you want it. Good luck

Post the transmission numbers from the bottom rib, maybe the differential you bought from Canada is for mechanical and not electrical speedometer drive.

If the transmission you bought is an early model with mechanical speedometer drive, then the disc for the magnets would not work any way. You would need to install a speedometer cable and matching speedometer.

Naw, he doesn't have a mechanical speedometer transmission. This is for a 3.2, and it was just the differential he bought from Canada. He has the proper carrier plate from his old, damaged, diff, but it is missing magnets.

I've got the magnet plate for one of these, but sending it to far away Georgia is more of a project than I'd like to try.

Jojy, perhaps you could contact one of the various places in the US, or Britain, or Germany, which sell used Porache parts, and see if anyone has this plate. They should be quite used to international commerce and shipping.

I've got one. $80. It is probably going to cost more than that in shipping...
