Unhappy Help! Replacing script on BoxsterS

I am replacing the script on the back of my BoxsterS. Having taken the old one off I am left with a bunch of sticky goo from the previous script. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the residue safely without damaging the paint on the car? Thanks. Chris.

3M makes an adhesive remover. You can find it in auto parts stores. Wash the area first to remove any grit that was near the emblem and then use the adhesive remover on a microfiber towel. Don't forget to measure where the old one was before removing the glue, so you know where to put the new one. I'd consider polishing and waxing the area around the emblem before putting the new one on.
