Stock stereo model for an '86?

Ran into a guy at our local post office last week. I was pulling out, he ws pulling in. When I came out of the post, I ws surprised to find he had turned around and waited for me.

He had just bought the car recently - not his first from what I gather - and was having aproblem sorting out the controls for the settings on the original Blaupunkt Stereo.
His car was virtually my car's twin.

I forget what model the stero was, but told him i'd help track down some downloadable manuals.

Of course, I did tell him about Pelican...

Anyone know what model came stock in '86?

The Monterey was the most common Blaupunkt for '86. Operating instructions were covered in the owner's manual.

I have an 86 coupe and it has the Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 model. The operating instructions are not in the owner's manual but in a separate manual just for the radio which I have both. If somebody need it I can scan the radio operating instructions which is not too big.

I emailed the guy, but haven't heard back from him yet...

I still have the radio manual for my '86. Stock stereo was gone long ago.

Unless you are a concours buff, I don't know why anyone would want the original radios. Mine had a pristine Blaupunkt that had 30 small buttons and all the various cassette tape noise reductions perfect for playing my 80's mix tapes!

Just took mine out (for sure),...loaded something much better,..BUT,..surely tucked the old one away,..as that was the agreement with her (the car),...saved forever,..of no contribution to this (unfortunate?) audiophile.

BUT<>>>>>>WolfeMacleod, were you able to get the exact model number?
