Engine/Transmission adapter question

I am beginning to start to purchase parts for a custom engine setup I have always wanted to do. I plan on putting a four cylinder 2.0 from a 914 into a 911 roller and have several questions while I start to locate miscellaneous parts. I am using a 1989 911 Carrera roller and have several questions:

The G50 transmission is geared to tall for the lower horsepower numbers I am looking at, am I correct in that a 915 transmission fits into the tunnel on the 89 with no modification? Do the tach and speedo cables require any modification?

What, if any, adapters, clutches, or special flywheel stuff is needed to mate a 915 transmission to the 914 engine?

Also, on a side note, is there any difference in windshield between a 74-89 coupe and an 89 cabriolet?

As my project progresses and develops I will post pictures for those interested.

G50 uses a hydraulic clutch system. 915 uses the cable system.
IIRC the 912E uses a 915 with a the early input spline of the 901.
