Sorry it's been a long while since last updated, but car is finally out of the garage for the first time in years, and its on it's way to Fordahl's to get the remaing body parts on and aligned, all brake lines installed and tested, alignment, wheels balanced, ride height set and corner balanced. here are some pics til car comes home.

All that will remain when i get her back will be to finish some electrical issues and get Al Kosmal's EFI kit dialed in........more to come.......almost there.

great...!! you have almost made it...interesting pics...did the ford in the driveway delay ~ prolong this project...?? if it did, I understand as that is a nice car as well...
Also, seeing the slightly unearthed blue tarp on the side of the dirt road looks like you "unearthed" or dug up your car since they are the same color blue...... do you have another car like that buried there as I will come & dig one up if you don't mind... :-)
Can't wait till you fire that beast up...!! how long did the shop say they need the car for till she is returned...??
Carry on...thx for sharing...

Can't wait see the finished product.....

Fordahl's shop was one of the last stops my car made before being (almost) roadworthy.
I'll be there soon to drop off some stuff. Hopefully your car will still be ther so I get an up-close look!

al lkosmal 06-22-2012 06:32 AM

Way to go Tony. It's been a long road and I'm glad to see you back at it again. Email me with your schedule regarding when your car will be back in the garage and I'll work my way over there.

Al

PS: Fordahl's did a great job on my 77, many years ago...and on my current ride (Dan's ex).

Love how this is turning out. Get one of the SEINE systems hood props. It will be lighter and slip out less often than the 2x4.

I love the color, especially.

I will, thanks Doug, your car was one of my inspirations........the 2x4 is temporary...( free.... lol)

DW SD 08-14-2012 03:20 PM

yeah, the price is right on the 2x4! You could buy ten or fifteen for one of the Seine systems'

you bet.

for what it is worth, their gate shift kit works really well, too, if you don't spend the $ on WEVO.

Thanks ........ Now I just need to locate front and rear seals to put between body and bumpers, as their is a bit of a gap.

will hung 08-16-2012 04:07 AM

You could use a 964 smile up front. I can't offer any guidance on the rear.

Waiting for clutch and tranny to be finished... back in on the 5th of September...

https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...62196188_n.jpg

Resealing 73 style 915 tranny... was leaking on the clutch, causing problems shifting...

New tires 275/45r16.. Toyos... biggest I can fit/find.

ARE your wheels shown above 17's? I can't imagine how they could be as wide if not.

My powerplant is back in...

... And not much luck harvesting oil spots! HA!

Tom Amon rebuild, perfect re-install, no leaks, no fuss, just very fast.

Amazing!
The wheel wells are filled in nicely and perfectly.
What is the trick to that?
I seen some cars which don't look as perfect as yours.
Thanks.
