need desperate ignition help
Basically, my key broke in the ignition and i can't get it out by just fishing it out.
Before, i was able to start it with a screwdriver, now the thing won't even turn. Right now, i'm trying to get the tumbler out so maybe i can fish the key out that way. Help? Thanks |

Talk to a locksmith - cheaper than repacing the entire ignition lock assembly

ischmitz has the right idea. A locksmith has a cool set of tools for fishing out broken keys. It looks like a small flexible drill bit. He will spin it with his fingers and hook your broken key. I had a broken key pulled from my 300zx ignition. Just took him a few seconds with no damage. If your car is not drivable they will come to your house for a few bucks more. He can also cut you a new key from the broken one. dave...
