I can't imagine unless it rains or worse. A lot of v-dubs I knew in high school used to run with the lids off all the time

If you want to stop by here on the way (don't know how "on your way" it is) I have a spare decklid you can borrow at least. No spoiler and it wouldn't match your car color-wise probably, but might be better than nothing. . .

What a bummer,
how the heck did that happen? Those things are hinged pretty decently, latched at the bottom(when closed) and also attached by the hydralic shocks.

block of 2x4 off the top of a truck in front of me hit it right on the end of the wing.ripped the threads right out of the fiberglass,at the hinges.all four bolts pulled out.

Geeze, I wanted to ask, but duid not want to add insult to injury when you first posted. You are lucky the 2x4 didn't crash through the window. Glad to hear you made it home "safely".

That could have hit you in the face I think I'd look at it that way.

I'm see my beautiful 3.2 when I peer through the deck lid grill (a/c condensor removed) and she won't melt or mind if she get's wet
