Dave this is the sticker I have been looking for for a long time. It is 2"x 5". It is missing from my '86 Carerra's hot air duct. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1206293598.jpg

Decals

Great work, it would be really helpful if Pelican could, when they start selling the decals retail, give some indication of which go on which years. I have some idea, but not a complete picture of the decal set for my 79SC. Count me in. thanks Lynn

did the tire pressure decal really say 2 bar front, 3 bar rear? Isn't that a front/rear psi difference of 14.7?

EDIT: Great looking decals btw!

Dave the one I attached is the best I have found. Anyone else have a better image?

Dave,

Yeap - that's it!

1) the 2.2 engine displacement decal has been available from the dealerships for under $10 ! But the others at competitive pricing (2.7, 3.0 , 3.2 etc) would be well received

2) the key to success with the gold decals is to get them made with the correct adhesive back gold colored 3M foil. Several others have tried this overseas using substitute products and the results are not so hot. Some years of the foil decals had red and black printing on them

Good luck with your endeavor and hopefully you can truly replicate them as original

The restorers amongst us would love that dearly

I have both those on my 86 Carrera in good condition so if no one else comes up with a photo I can do that myself when I get back home in a couple of weeks.
Dave.

Research is definitely the key and if anyone else can help out here it would be greatly appreciated. (3M product No? etc)
Thanks.
Dave.

Dave,

Just a minor suggestion with the 2,2 style decal.
The ones the dealers are selling are a ruby red colour but the originals were a tangerine colour.
If you go ahead with the 2,2s you may want to alter the colour if you can - I would take two tangerines then !

Cheers,
Dennis.:)

I'm more than happy to resell all the stickers in the catalog. Tom has rebuffed my requests to resell his, so it was only a matter of time before someone else came along...

I Can change colour easily. If you can supply a sample colour for me to work with that would be great.
Dave.

No problems Wayne, as I said I am doing all the design work in my spare time so that will drop RRP considerably. Obviously this is a little down the track yet as I want as many different model decals as I can gather and then we will have to decide on production numbers based on demand. There will also be a number of different materials involved as well. (Metal for paint code and any other similar ID tags that may be required. Gold Foil. Yellow/white vinyl etc). What I would really like to do is have the data base indexed by Model/Year and have complete Tag and decal sets available for easy reference. Once that is done they could then be sold as complete sets or on an individual basis.
So any you come across in your travels or in your workshop, snap them and send them to me with details of year/model dimensions.
Thanks.
Dave.
Was the option code sticker Silver/black writing? can someone send me that?

Thanks Dave. I would think this would be easy but what do I know?
