Yes! I just noticed the part # and punched it in, TA-DA! It's in my project list as we speak.

Just a quick follow up. Thank you all for your continued support on this project. It is coming along but does take time to reproduce these decals from photos alone. I have produced one of the alternator decals on the gold foil media I ordered and it will be tested at the end of the month for appearance and durability. First impressions are very promising.

Dave,
Nice work! |
Great job. Here's the one on a 1970 911E

Those are looking good. I don't know if you have done this one already or if its in good enough shape to devolope a copy from. It's diameter is 4 and 1/8 inches or 105 mm (if my conversion is any good). I put a piece of white paper behind it to help it show up better. Hopfully you can use it.

You can get the '69,'70,'71 Weltmeister decal from the Early 911S Registry.
They have the 1969, 1970 Marken Weltmeister ones as well, just what you have pictured. 1969 is also available as is CanAm 1972 http://www.early911sregistry.org/WeltmeisterDecal.html This goes to a good cause, too, supporting the early 911S community. The forum is not easy to maintain and the knowledge contained in it from the experts in the club is very important to keep the longhoods going. |
The thing about replacement or replica decals, is they are great if they are EXACT replicas.
If they are not, or are not very, very close, I'd rather have the old worn out real ones. |
|
Excellent. Great job.
I think the fonts should be a bit narrower though. I'm sure you can get it just right so if you put them side by side you cannot tell the difference between old and new. |

Can you possibly take higher res pics, even if they are in segments ( say three, left to right) that will give me a better idea of exactly what is needed. Dave. |
Dave, check your PM's

This sticker is listed on PP but is unfortunately No Longer Available. I suspect many such stickers are NLA even tho they have a part #. |
This is from a '68 w/ emissions. Should have a red boarder. I am kicking myself for passing one up on Ebay a while back.

Dave,
Any chance the Bosch coil sticker could be reproduced. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/421665-oem-sticker-bosch-coil.html Thanks. Tom |

After some pretty negative feedback to a response I posted on a recent thread I decided I would not continue with this exercise. However it appears that there is some interest out there for a number of now hard to get decals. If I do continue I will need some help in identifying the photos supplied to the correct model and providing photos with legible text and graphics as well as sizes so I can reproduce as close as possible. I have done quite a few already and will post the samples here so that members can help identify what model they are off and also identify what ones are missing.
Please understand that I make every attempt to reproduce these decals as close to OEM as possible. You must also understand that I am not a qualified graphic designer or graphic artist but am doing my best to provide Pelicans with alternatives. I am not in it for profit or gain of any sort. It is time consuming and I appreciate any constructive suggestions as there will be mistakes and I will do my best to correct them. In the end though it will be take it or leave it. Having said all that. Here is what has been done so far. The gold background is for visual purpose only and the final decal will be printed on gold foil with a UV and chemical protective covering. The ones I have printed so far look good to me. http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...Clearance2.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...isc/paint2.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...ring-Order.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...estickers4.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...nestickers.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...estickers3.jpg http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z...estickers2.jpg I don't mind if someone else wants to take this on or if they want the templates to print them themselves. However I do mind if they are going to be used for profit or without permission. SmileWavyDave. |
Thanks. I just dont know what ones I need. Where can I find what was originally on my 70t?
|
One sticker I want is the blue sticker inside the trunk right above the brake fluid reservoir. I don't have one on my trunk so I can't photograph it for you. Maybe one of the other guys can post a photo of it.

Dave,
I was hoping you would take up the project again. This community is in need of these labels and as the cars age the need will only increase. My interest is in the Shell sticker. It goes on the hot air socket on a 1986 3.2L Carrera. it is 2"x5". My understanding this sticker changes frequently by model year so I cannot say what other years it is correct for. |
