Hi there. Welcome. Looks like a 911SC engine to me, serial number and engine type is located where my arrow points:

OK WAYNE, I will look tomorrow when i have a little more light. I just picked this up. Its supposed to have Red Line pistons? I appreciate your quick reply. I am a 356 owner. Sold my 68 targa last year. Now i need another 911 body or just sell this engine. Someone owed me some money.
Better something than nothing. Thanks |

I'm guessing it's earlier than an SC because of the 6 bolt flwheel.

My guess based on the flywheel, cross over oil pipe, and the green showing under the shroud, is a 74 CIS, but only the number will tell.
