Whats a good place to find 12 volts switched in the engine compartment?

I'm wiring in an Innovate LC-1 and and an rpm switch and wonder where others have tapped into a source for 12 volts switched in the engine compartment.
The 3 fuses on the console are hot all the time and I don't really want to splice into the 12 volt supply line for the CDI, but if there is nothing else...

Any ideas?

One of those 3 fuses is not hot until you turn on the ignition. I use it for the switched power on my MSD ignition.

Maybe my '87 930 is wired a little different there because all 3 are hot with the ignition off.
thanks though.
