Post .wav files(sort of OT)

I would like to post some .wav files of my 3.6 with B&B headers and Fabiani muffler on my website, can anybody provide some do/don'ts/tips. I have tried to access some at other sites and even with a fast cable modem the results were dissapointing.

One major improvment (download time) would be to convert them to MP3 format. .WAV is essentially an uncompressed format, i.e. high-quality = BIG files!

I have some sound files at my homepage that were originally wav files. I had my brother convert them to MP3 - much better.
