Ultimate cup holder...Yes I said cup holder

I know how many of you feel about cup holders in our cars. I feel much the same way however being a very active person that works and plays outside 80% of the time I require lots of water. Plus on those road trips to the track where the drive is 2 hours or more I need it. I have RS type door panels so I have no pockets.

Now the best thing about this rig is how versatile the attachment of it is.
It has 4 different attachment methods. The one I use is the velcro straps.

Here is a pic of it attached to the lower dash. The straps just slid around it so no damage to the car.

Well I do jest sometimes since I am Jester but for those out there that want a decent cup holder that can attach to anything this is it.
It has a little clamp that can go on outdoor folding chairs even. The thing even adjusts for smaller or larger cans/bottles by turning the bottom of it. I am probably going to order another one for my truck.

Not bad but I've said it before, you just can't beat a big new roll of duct tape on the floor. I have 2 in each car.

With harnesses I can't lean forward that much. Besides that is sort of chancey leaning down that far with your hand on the wheel anyway. I realize many don't believe in cup holders but this is one that goes in and out without anymore attachment than a roll of duct tape.

Now I was jesting .

Not bad for $22 .

I was moving a junk car on our lot and found a built in cup holder that my install in the space of the console . One of those pop out auto flip and then fold back for storage deals . Althouth the shifter may get in the way and would be mounted close to the floor . Your idea is better .

Very timely post, for me anyway. I have recently been searching for a solution that doesn't require drilling or permanent mounting. This looks perfect.

I have purchased 2 cheap cupholders -- $1.99 & $0.59. Let's just say you get what you pay for. Neither worked well or could be trusted with a hot cup of coffee.

Anyone else have other "solutions" we should consider? Remember, nothing permanent or that requires drilling.

Thanks.

Did someone say cupholder. This is a magnetic base from a mechanics tray glued to a cupholder from Pep Boys. I know it won't work for the concours people or if you have carpet everywhere, but for the track and lightspeed cars it works great. Only bad thing, I should have gotten a bigger holder as some water bottles won't fit.

This was my inexpensive solution from parts I had around the house. I can't hold a Big Gulp but coffee cups fit fine:

I have one of the 7Eleven "Extreme Gulp" 64oz thermos cups. It wedges between the seats and makes a pretty good elbow rest.

(And before any one asks... No it doesn't have soda in it. After passing a kidney stone on a 7hr plane flight and another a month later, I have a deep appreciation of water intake!)

A big new roll of duct tape is the perfect cup holder. You can even get duct tape in variuos colors to match your interior.

I never bring open containers into my 911's so this suggestion may not work for everyone. Usually a water bottle, or Coca-Cola bottle will slide perfectly between the seat rails and inner rocker. On my cars, and using the bottles that I usually drink, its a snug fit. I would just be careful that whatever method you use, to make sure the bottle never comes loose and gets under the pedals.

Most innovative solution I've seen yet!

Here's mine. Switch is for manual activation of the back-up camera.

I bet that button is a source of endless curiousity, speculation, and amusement huh?

Don't mind if I borrow your pic to try and ask the guys over at Rennlist to guess what it's for?
