Heater Hose Question 4 back date
I was checking our host for the type of heater hose I have seen used in cars with back dated heat and at least from the host pics of the hose sold here it doesn't look the same. The kind I have seen is somewhat orange and I thought I had seen someplace in a thread (that I cant find now) that it is from the aviation industry. Anyone who has bacdated their heat can you let me know where the hose is from. Also the back date ducts that are added to the sides of my fan are super high price by the host. Are they all almost 200 a set? They are just light weight sheet metal stamped into shape. Thanks

I realize backdating your SC can't be done the same way I backdated my Carrera, but here's a thread showing what I used on the lefthand side with the part #s from Pelican. Before settling on that hose, I tried some of the options from aircraftspruce.com. Check out SCAT, SCEET, and CAT, etc. on the other link if you want to go that route. BTW, my LHS hot air duct (930 part) wasn't cheap, so that's probably correct. Hope this helps...
Gratuitous pics of Carrera heater backdate... http://www.aircraftspruce.com/search/search.php?query=scat&search=1 Last edited by KFC911; 05-07-2008 at 03:37 AM.. |
