Installing Chain Tensioner Collars (need gap info)

I need to know the gap distance between the collar and the tensioner.

I went through my tool box and found an old bar tensioner gauge "from the old days".

It is 3.3mm thick, which should be set once the tensioner is installed and to set the safety stop. Allows for some compression when the engine is off for a while. Anything more would be protected.

That sounds like some helpful numbers, that a lot here should write in their Bentley Manual somewhere.
I had no clue, mine is a 3.2. I wrote it in my info notebook.

Your welcome. If you need the metal gauge, let me know. If you need to replace the tensioner(s) many, many miles down the road, try the new style Carrera.

the metal gauge must be the same. right? which should be set to determinate the distance between the tensioner cillinder and the collar.

The Carrera tensioners are coming but I need to move my car this weekend to a local Porsche parade so this is just a temporary set up.
