Installing Chain Tensioner Collars (need gap info)
I need to know the gap distance between the collar and the tensioner.

I went through my tool box and found an old bar tensioner gauge "from the old days".
It is 3.3mm thick, which should be set once the tensioner is installed and to set the safety stop. Allows for some compression when the engine is off for a while. Anything more would be protected. |

That sounds like some helpful numbers, that a lot here should write in their Bentley Manual somewhere.
I had no clue, mine is a 3.2. I wrote it in my info notebook.

If you can't find the tool it is two quarters stacked on top of each other.(Quick and dirty)

Your welcome. If you need the metal gauge, let me know. If you need to replace the tensioner(s) many, many miles down the road, try the new style Carrera.
