cluch noise

hey guys, I require some info.
I have a 1970 911e, when I'm driving my car and I press down on my clutch I hear a click click... noise but only when the pedal is traveling. Theres NO noise when its fully pressed down. I only get the noise while I'm engaging or releasing the pedal. It sounds like the sound is coming from some where inside the car cabin area?

Any thoughts of what it can be?

Thanks
Chris

I had a slight clicking noise also and on my car it was the pedal bushings .

Our host offers a rebuild kit for cheap and it's a nice weekend project .

Pull your carpet and pedal cover and put someone in the drivers seat .

Try to snake yourself into the area so you can determine where the noise is coming from . If it is the pedal assembly also order a clutch cable clevis pin , a lot of the time they're seized and are damaged when removed and are dirt cheap .

Let us know what you find .

thanks for the info, I just did that this past winter guess that would cure the problem, and this month was the first time a got to drive the car since then and the noise is still there. I overhauled the whole pedal assy but not the pin. It only makes that clicking/ rattle noise when I'm driving the car?

do you have any other spots that I can look at? I haven't changed the cable yet- should I? Are the any bushings/ fairlead guides in the tunnel area that if damaged or missing would cause this noise?

Chris
