I read about the issues with the valve guides and the rings. The car I'm looking at is a 3.2 and will smoke (white to bluish) for about 7 mins. Tried again and once the temp is ok there seems to be very little. The owner lets the car sit a while and doesn't drive too much anymore. Is 7 mins too long for this to happen?

This might be normal if the owner overfilled the oil. How's the oil level once it warms up?

7 minutes is too long. There is oil leaking onto the heat exchangers while it sits and that burns off on start up. Mine does it too but it is too dirty to see exactly where the leaks are from. I think exhaust roxker covers, rear main seal, MFI pump drive, and oil pressure sender.
As it warms, tolerances seem to get tight enough to seal or the oil is just burning away quicker into the wind. Does not automatically mean valve guides. Is it noisy?

The car seems quiet. I will check the oil level as well as underneath the car next week.

Does not sound like valve guides to me. But I am not a technician
