Rubber's bugging Baby's Bumper!!!!

Does anyone have some suggestions on the best way to hold this rubber in place? I'm thinking some kind of automotive silicone shold do the trick...

Those tabs that are painted (1st pic) are the best for keeping the rubber piece on the bumper, just slide it on and screw the ends as designed. Just align the tabs with the curved edge perpendicular to the ground. The tar or silicon in the pic is really not necessary unless the rubber piece is damaged.

My 2 cents

Those clips that Jim are refering to, are two pieces. There is a female piece that slips into the metal bumper and the male that slides into the backside of the rubber strip.

Female part # 911-505-418-00-M321
male part # 911-505-417-00-M321

It's not worth trying to reuse the old ones. Half will break as you try and remove them.

There's also a plastic "rail" that fits over the tabs which I think might be missing from looking at your photo. The rubber piece then slides over the rail.

That is correct and this is what the clamping plate looks like. No glue/adhesive used.....to attach front bumper trim
