Houston we have a problem
79 911 SC
Was working on the front struts today. Replacing with Koni sport inserts. Passenger side went great, bushings we shot as you can see, Went to do drivers side and the old strut is completely different i think it is a Blistien, and from what i have read you cannot replace Blistiens with Koni inserts? So my question is will i have to buy a Boge for the drivers side for this to work? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You coming up to Edmonton any time soon? I've got a couple of Boge struts (no inserts) from a Carrara you can have. They're not perfect, but might do.

Yes, you will have to buy a strut that matches the non-Bilstein side in order to use your new Koni insert. When you shop make sure that your replacement strut has the correct caliper saddle and ball joint receiver (some early '70s struts used a different ball joint with a pinch bolt - you don't want that).

Talked to John at Pelican, ordered a new Boge assembly for the drivers side. should be here in a week, Also called local Porche dealership, what a joke 2-4 months for delivery via europe and $200 more not including shipping. was pretty impressed with Pelican team. will be ordering may more parts from them. Great service.
