I am totally hooked on your gauges.

Did you strip and then put a finish on them or are they #PEL-PP912855 from Pelican? The Rennline bezels are polished, so not those.

richde,

I went with an Autometer tach in the car and wanted to match the other gauges to it. So I masked of the glass on them, primed them and painted them silver to match. I think the paint I used was VHT GM Rallye wheel silver. Took a couple of hours and about 10 bucks. You can't tell the bezels were not removed to paint......

Cheers

I did two days back to back with it. First day had open track and 18 cars and the second day had 8 cars (3 from one race team) and was open all day. Got lots of time in it over those two days.

It was very hot out (for here anyways) and oil temp never went above 95C (about 205F). Car was fast, pulled great and gave me no troubles what so ever. The brakes are even better since I dumped so much more weight out of the car, I just need to use them harder! I did have to adjust a little more front brake into it after a couple of sessions but that was the only adjustment I made in the two days.

The car is much faster than I am so I don't think I will make adjustments until I get more seat time in it. It was very balanced and easy to drive.

It was a blast!

Cheers

Shhhh! funny, I did the same thing to several cars for buddies of mine. Even did one to match the body color (hellbronz)... it freaked everyone out!

Jeff, car is looking good, and your detailed thread will be help and inspiration on a couple of upcoming projects.

All the best..

Paul

jumping on the bandwagon,
nicely executed, all of it.
Another too nice to track I'd understand if you wanted to avoid track rash.
But it looks like a great dual purpose 911.
Has it been covered in a mag already, somebody send Randy Wells some photos.
