Installing a window motor - 89 911 Cab.....

I think I have to install a new window motor (one last test - check power at the motor). Anyway, I know how to take the door apart but have never replaced the motor. Is there any advice that you guys can give me regarding its removal? Andrew

Ok. I can't figure out how to disconnect the wires from the motor. I tried but am worried about breaking something. I also loosened the 2 hex bolts above the motor (compared to new one for placement) but nothing is happening. It looks like only those 2 bolts are holding it in place. Andrew

IIRC, there are 3 bolts holding the motor to the regulator. Also, there is a sort of a clip on the wiring connector, which will release with a firm bit of wiggling. Good luck, and be sure to grease everything, and remember to align the window to your top before you button everything back up.
