Look what followed me Home - 68 911 :)

So I came across a little 911 and had to take it home it is a 1968 911T.
Vin # is on both chassis and plate 11820065 , I have absolutly every piece for the car however it currently is set up for flintstone propulsion! Floors are gone, rear seat tray gone however other than that complete and solid, alot of work has been done so far. Not sure its fate yet, have a look!

Lots of cool bits, H1s , ugly Fuchs , Wabasto Gas Heater, Webers, Aluminum 2.0 .
SWB signal lights and lens, you name it its all there. I will post pictures of the floors later. Other than the floors rear seat and a couple other small areas everything is pretty close to being ready for paint.

Oh Yeah Ben of MK Exhaust Fame found the car and passed the info along to me! Very Nice of Ol Ben!

Man Jon! Another one!?! You have a patient wife dude!

How is the other project coming along? Hey, speaking of projects. I have not even opened your box yet (heater backdate parts). I was thinking about it tonight on my way home, and then I see this thread. Did you stick the badge in there? If you did, I am sorry because I totally forgot about you sending it with the heater parts.

Good luck with the 68!

Shane

Nice '68! It sounds like it has all the Euro bits, cool. Remember, the 68 911T was the lightest of the '68 911's.

Well after more organizing etc, and looking at the condition of the car, it needs alot of attention probably more than its worth. How I would love a SWB hot rod... my main goal here is to finish the 72 which still needs much attention and $$$ and metal so this car might fit the bill for cutting! Sadly its all numbers matching from what I can tell.

Vin 11820065
Motor 2080082 / 901/03 Aluminum , Webers 40 IDTs
The fuchs are 911.361.02 which are later fuchs,
It will take days to clean and organize all the parts and I still have to go back for another load, so far everything is there complete and pretty nice shape.

Jon W.
Pictures will come tomorrow of all the stuff

1968 911t

Jon, it looks like a solid find.

The short wheel based front fenders are different than the long wheel based cars the dog leg is a different shape, (look in the manual one of the fenders is longer) the turn signal boxes/ lights and horn grilles are a different size also.

I know a person who is in need of 1968 parts, if you are parting it out.

Sounds like Ben did the car a favor too! I will be the first to subscribe when this baby starts to come back.
Nice find and good luck.

The good news : The wife wants it restored as somehow she loves the car, weird, she never really likes em too much but somehow she really likes this one.. So I will probably be enlisting some help on the 68.

Let's see she followed you home in the rain...a potentional threesome. You licked her, kicked her, and then the wife wants her maybe more than she wants you. Just kidding. But come on guys.

Seriously cool project.

Regards,
