Spark plug wire yanked off

In removing the spark plug wire, the wire itself separated from the insulation. Does it just get shoved back in or does this need to be crimped in some way? If so, can you suggest how to do it?

You should be able to push out the terminal trapped inside the tube towards the plug end, thread the cable through the tube and re-crimp it to the wire.

Something like this:

His are different. The original poster has screw on connectors. If you look in the opening of the spark plug connector, you'll see a screw. You push the wire into the hole and turn the connector as you push the wire in so that the screw is forced into the center of the wire.

Isn't that a Magnacore wire in the Op? Never saw that happen and I have used them for 11 years.

I did a partial engine drop a few years ago and forgot to unhook the coil wire. I sent it to magnacor and they fixed it free of charge.

run it to your local speed shop ... most of the around me are usually willing to help a guy out ... you may not want to tell them what it is off of though ... a few of the shops around here actually get a kick out of my car ... they think its cute ....these are guys that think you need a minimum of 500 hp and it can be a Chevy or a Ford but that's it ...

Thanks to all for the replies. These are magnecore wires. It isn't a screw connector. What looks like a screw is the center wire that was bent and it seems to go that way.

Taking the suggestion from stlrj I used a drift from the spark plug side to punch out the connector. Then I crimped it back and shoved the cable and connector back in. I just need to pull/push it to the correct depth and I'll be done.

I like to get the internal connector flush with tip of the tube, clicking it on to the spark plug, then push the tube down while gently pulling on the wire to reach the correct depth. That way you'll know it is securely on the plug and have the connector depth set perfect every time.
