Temp sending unit Question..

I have a 77' 911 with a 3.2 engine from an 86'. In the 8 months that I have owned the car, the temp guage has never worked. From researching, I have concluded that I need the sending unit from a 2.7 to work with the 77's numbered guage. Our host has these sending units for sale but they are labled 74'-76'. (part # 901-641-632-00-m100) Will this part be calibrated for the 77's guage?

That is the correct one for the numbered gauge.
