out of adjustment room for my front please help
OK.. I know I have being asking a lot of questions regarding the adj. of my suspension. I started with the front this evening and found that there is no more adjustment left. Evidently I have to unhook everything and rotate the control arm to get more adjustability. My questions: 1. Do I have to remove the strut, tie rod, and sway bar to unload the torsion bar or can I just let it droop? 2. Do I "push" the torsion bar forward and rotate the A arm upward and push the torsion bar back to get more adjustability? Right now the front is 26.5" and I have no more room in the adjustment screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to get around 25".. Funny thing, when I lowered the front around a 1/4" the rear dropped about a 1/2"...
Thanks

Just take the weight off it, unscrew the adjuster (take it out) and re-index the cap and give it a go. If you lift the car in the center the sway bar should not matter.

When I do a rough adjust I use a jack to position the car at aprox. the height I need or a little higher then slip the cap in at the lowest point and screw in the adjuster till it starts to take the weight then lower the jack and go from there, important part is to do it on level ground.

So am I turning the torsion bar to index it or am I just turning the cap to re-index?

Thanks for the advice Gunter. I have read almost every post on the subject... of which your input was in many of the them. I agree knowledge is an essential component to the outcome. Thanks for the reply.
