A few questions need to be answered in order to give you the most useful options.
What other mods do you intend for your engine?
Do you need heat?
What is your budget?
Are you a DIY guy or will a mechanic be used?

You might post this thread on the 930 board as well due to the quick pace of the 911 BBS.

I have B&B headers and mufflers on my 86 turbo. May I suggest getting a single outlet exhaust instead of the dual? I run the dual outlet one on the 86 and it can be deafening. Whereas the 79 with headers and single outlet GHL muffler is very civil.

Have altered a few things so far.Running a Koelken turbo with a 1 bar spring in a stock wastegate.Current exhaust is a Borla dual outlet, cat removed.Air intake is a cone type, not sure of manufacturer.Have installed a B6 intercooler,(interesting process getting that into place)with an aluminum fabricated shroud.Have also added a serpentine belt system and an Andial fuel enrichment system(a little insurance and peace of mind)
Live on the east coast of Vancouver Island so heat is a necessary evil.
Budget is not a factor but don't want to go too nuts, would prefer to buy gently used.
DIY is part of the game,if I can't play with it,no use owning it.
Only put about 3000 miles a year on this puppy, can put up with the exhaust noise for the appearance of the dual exhaust.Have a very nice sound system in the car which rarely gets used, would rather listen to the engine.

You want to replace the Borla? I have a dual exhaust system that is ear-friendly. Check out the website in my signature line.

Not really looking to replace the Borla as my main objective but rather match up a well built set of headers to a nice sounding muffler.Bought the Borla used and it showed up somewhat damaged ,both tips worked their way through the box in transit, scored the chrome and flattened the ends a bit.Still sounds great though,a lot quieter than the modified Bischoff that I had in place Have crossed B&B headers off the list as some of the owner reports I have read site cracking and the manufacturer refusing to repair without payment.Looking for input on other manufacturers such as GSF,OBX and whoever else. This is next winters project so I have plenty of time.
Looking at your price list,am I to understand that you manufacture and sell headrers with heat and a dual exhaust muffler?

Yes, it's not OBX Asian quality and pricing though. GSF/OBX/etc all use the same Asian manufacturers and are variances on the same product.
The reason that B&B, GHL, Fabspeed and many others are having quality issues is because it is now all outsourced to Asia. The quality will likely improve with time.
Everything I carry is high quality S/S and made in the US. I stand behind it and will warrant against defect and fitment when used for the correct application.
Don't get me wrong, the OBXs of the world have there place as disposable use items. You just need to know that going in.
You can do a search and check me out on the net. Check out the website in my signature line as well. Shoot me an e-mail with all your questions and I will give you answers that help you make an informed decision based on your needs, budget, and application. There are many threads here on the 930 BBS with loads of opinion on the subject, Ha!
