How does your 3.2 start?
From a cold start, does it fire up right away or take a (literal) couple seconds of cranking?
|
Always very quick, even after sitting for a few weeks.
|
I would guess about 1.2 seconds of cranking. However, it's not like I time it.

Mine starts just like ordinary cars, that is, after 2 or 3 seconds of cranking, cold or hot.

Listen to the opening of this video.
That's my car door closing (still love that sound!) and then my car starting on a damp, foggy morning on day 2 of the 850 mile trip from Houston TX to Tuscaloosa AL. And then me going, "Oh yeah....." :) Anybody else got audio or video of their car sounds?? |
If mine takes more that just a couple of spins, I know something is wrong with it, as it fires up very quickly.
|
Normally within 1-2 seconds.
|
Both of our 3.2's fire right up.
Crank, crank....slap, slap...like that.;) |
Quicker when cold than hot.
|
Pretty much instant.

Mine upon startup after my rebuild.....can't remember if it was already running when I recorded it, or started it up as part of the video? This computer doesn't have Flash player. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8gl1orKzXM |
Mine starts immediately hot or cold.
|
500 ms to 1.2 second,..everytime (so far, that is),..cold temps seem to turn her on faster.

Less than a second or maybe right at 1 second.
|
About 1 to 1.5 seconds for me as well.
