Weber vs PMO rain shields
I bought some rain shields from a Pelican member and they won't fit on my Weber 40 IDA's. Are the K&N bottom plates the same for PMO and Weber carbs? It looks like the holes are bigger as well. When I sit the air horns on top of the bottom plate I can see the outside edges of the holes where the air horn flanges are straight. Thanks in advance.

The pmo bottom plates are different than the webers. Everything else is the same.

A quick search reveals that they are definitely for PMO's. Any chance they can be modified to fit the Webers (drilled). If I use a good gasket between the air horns and the base plates as well as between the base plates and carb top can I get away with it? That or I need to find someone that is willing to trade.
