Lighted Key Battery Question

My OEM key has a light integrated into the black plastic key head. One of the PO's took out the battery, so I do not have a reference number for replacement.

The key head is trapezoidal, with a round button on one side and PORSCHE on the bottom of the other, along with the letters DOM.

Does anyone have a key like this that can help out with the battery number?

Thanks,

Tom

Manual says 1.4 or 1.5v. I think this is a no brainer for a dealer parts dept.

Ha! You obviously haven't been to my dealer. I have to lead the parts guy through PET whenever I want to order something.

In response to the OP, I have the same key, and the only text on the battery is:
MZ625
BUTTON CELL

Mine is dead, so if you a duracell or something commonly available that works, I'd be interested to hear about it.

There was an earlier post on converting the battery to a standard battery and using an LED replacement.

I did this to mine years ago and it still works like a charm...

Just happen to have two spares sitting in my office desk drawer. # is L1560
Googled that and came up with this:

I did the LED conversion. It's simple, easy, and effective.

Hey Captain Carrera, (great name!)

Where did you get the LED conversion? And do you have the part number?

Thanks.
