Large diameter tires...

Hey all,

Has anyone tried stuffing a 26 inch diameter tire into the wheel well of a 911SC? Wanting 255's on the back, and 215's on the front, but willing to go with a slightly narrower tire to accomplish this. I know these cars are best with a 25 inch diameter tire, but I really want to fill those wheel wells with my 18 inch rims. Space between wheel and wheel-well = tacky.

I have no problem running 225 60 16's ( 26.6" diameter) on all four corners. I like this combination so much that I doubt I'll go back to anything smaller... less revs at 65mph, quieter, better mpg's, better handling, still has plenty of torque.
