				Headlights Not Working

I was helping someone with their 87 Carrera today and he mentioned his headlights were not working. Apparently they shut off while driving one night. The parking lights all work (front and rear). There is no high or low beams at all. I checked for voltage at the bulb plug and the fuse box...I only got .2 volts. After looking at the wiring diagram, I suspect the headlight switch or the turn signal stalk. Having an 83, I'm not too familar with the 87 issues. Any opinions? By the way...I drove the G50 tranny for the first time today...I like it SOOOOO much better!!!!!! I want an 87!!!!!!!!!

I'd say you figured right. lighting wiring is same crap. might as well install relays now instead of wasting a new stalk switch. They ain't cheap either.

Check the plug at the bulkhead, down under the dash. Sometimes they work loose. (I think there are four or five of them.)
