Did your '80 start out as a Coupe or Targa?

If Targa, does it still need the extra reinforcement?

I know that the Cab has different engine mount (shock damper?) setup than the targa or coupe.

My previous Pcar was a cab conversion and I drove it for many years without an issue. '74 converted to '88 cab look. Much like blondes, brunettes and red heads; I like the coupe, targa and cab pretty much the same, although my wife's a blonde and my car is now a coupe Next one will be a cab, fyi.
Cheers!

In my younger days, you couldn't give me a cab. Now I wouldn't own a 911 if it weren't. If you don't make it a cab, do the soft window targa...

The 80 started out as a targa.

The reinforcement is not absolutely mandatory, but we wouldn't build it any other way. It wound up with less flex than my 81 targa!! (drove 'em both back to back).

The rear motor mount is different. Looks like a big shock setup but bolts up exactly the same. We have all the parts - top, reinforcment (use or not but I suggest you do) and the motor mount. In fact, I think I have two of the motor mounts...
