clicking sound - intermittent

My 82 SC developed a perplexing click, click, click while under power in 1st and 2nd a couple of weeks back on my way to work. It's under the car, not engine related from what I can tell. It was pretty loud and I could feel it. It sped up as the car did. I turned around to go home and as I got close, it was gone. I went back to work. It reappeared yesterday on my way home. It will go away when the clutch is depressed. Any ideas? The clutch isn't slipping, all else seems fine.

Are your CV joint bolts all tight?

Also check your e-brake adjustment. I don't know if your year is the same, but
mine was so out of whack it was hitting internally at area shown.

This is what I felt when I just broke my diff. I thought it was CV joints so replaced them. I could feel it thru the gas pedal and it only clicked under full power and would continue to click after I let off for a couple seconds. Then if I drive calm no clicking. Hope it's not that for you.
