Running on 3 cyc, and Alt not charging after putting motor back in 2.7 CIS

OK, so I removed the motor in July to do a reseal ect. I did many oil seals ect, and a big clean up job. Car was running perfect when removed.

Car details

75 US Carrera, 2.7 CIS.

What I did other than seals and clean up:

Rev Limiting Rotor and Cap, installed SSI's, plugged Smog ports, removed smog pump and valve adjust. I didn't even pull plugs, or mess with dist other than new cap, wiring pattern has been confirmed 3 times.

What's going on Now:

Cyc # 3, 4, 5, not firing at all, SSI"s totally cool to touch on these cyc.

and Alt is not charging, I've done everthing to confirm, It mysteriously started charging yesterday in about a 4 hour period but now today, nothing.

Any Help would be great.

Ferg

If three cylinder are not firing, the engine rpm is too low for the alternator to be working properly. You need to find out why the three cylinders are not firing.

Hope you are not using the firing order for a SC because the dizzy turn the opposite direction compare to the other 911.

Did you remove or retime the cam sprokets/chains? If so you might have the cam on that bank 180 out.

Nope, not using SC firing order, I've checked 3 times now that it's correct for a 2.7.
When I put the new cap on the Dizzy, I transferred one plug at a time, So I'm certain about plugs.

I didn't retime anything, including the dizzy. I plan on taking out the alt tonight to bring it in to be tested. This is all strange as everything worked well before the motor drop. Even when I did get charging two days ago and the dash light went out, and I had 14.2 at the battery, car still ran on 3 cyc...

I've double checked the ground strap, and using my meter confirmed the engine is well grounded. I've also checked resistance on every fuse.

I'm wondering if I have 3 stuck injectors? It only sat for 3 months, but who knows...

I would like to think both issues are related? But now I'm not to sure.

Well, I confirmed that I have spark on 3, 4, 5, I sure hope I have compression, so betting on stuck injectors. I will pull a plug and see if it's NOT wet next time I start to confirm no fuel.

How does one unstick a injector

Was going to pull the Alt tonight to bring it to be tested, but I have no tool kit and I borrowed a spanner for the fan, but I have the double pully and the tool was to short.

I did a valve adjustment, and I have done them in the past, so I really don't think I goofed those 3 cyc and now have no compression?

Witch Hunter has been given really good reviews from other Pelicans, and I like them too.

You could have messed up the valve adjustment. It's not that hard to get a few valves too tight.

pulled the 3 suspect injectors and put them in a cup and fired it up, nothing...

Dissconnected them from the line and tried to spray carb cleaner through them, getting just a dribble on 2 so far, so they are soaking in fuel injection cleaner tonight...

I will most likely pull them all and do the same for all six. or send them out.
