Mystery switches

I've got an 86 and it has two rocker switches under the guages, one on each side of the steering wheel. What do they do? Thanx-

The left one likely is the one that controls the outside mirrors. Flipped to the left, it directs the joystick on the drivers door to adjust the left outside mirror. Flipped the other way, it adjusts the other one. The other switch is probably a sunroof switch.

The left side is the L/R rearview mirror switch. The right one is the high intensity washer switch. If you have a sunroof the switch is left of the steering wheel and left of the mirror switch.

I rigged these up to use for my ATF Injection / smoke screen system (got moved to OT). When I press the other one, it causes razer blades to pop out of my wheel centers.

one is for the Photon Torpedoes, and the other is for the Romulan Cloaking Device.

No wonder the Germans invented iDrive, when we have quarter-century-old cars with a total of maybe 12 switches and 25 percent of them are total mysteries. There's probably no German word for ergonomics.

Where's your sense of adventure. Don't things happen when you toggle switches back & forth. Imagine my surprise when the headlight washer lit off. Thought the radiator sprung a leak and it would be another expensive Porsche fix.

The one on the left is the laser beam reflector shield azimuth adjuster selector switch, and the one on the right is for the mobile solar/lunar observatory access port.

Thanks to all. The switch on the left indeed runs the mirrors, I'm waiting until just the right time and just the right passenger to test the right switch, in case it's the ejection seat control. Again thanks.

The ejection seat controls are the red capped levers between the seats!
