2.4l mfi into a 66 912

Hi I am wondering about putting a Jerry woods rebuilt 2.4l into my 66 912 that has been a two year restoration. I have been searching for a new heart for it and have come across this motor it has 28,000. on the rebuild. Apparently just a straight rebuild no mods. What are your thoughts is this a good way to go? I want to drive the car regularly and I live above 6000' elevation. Thanks for any help.

I have a Jerry Woods built MFI motor (2.7RS+) and it's a sweet package! What are your particular concerns or goals. I think it sounds like a great idea. Is the motor a 2.4T, 2.4E, or 2.4S motor?

BTW, I also live near 6,000ft (drive over 10,000ft sometime). MFI is great in the altitude (it adjusts automatically for changes in barometric pressure). Higher compression would be a nice mod (even 2.4S is only 8.5:1), but nothing runs as well as a well tuned MFI motor...

I have a built 2.0 in mine and its a blast. Bored to 2.2 and distributorless is the beginning of it. You should do the swap. Same transmission.

Probably worth more stock if that's a consideration. If you did in fact restore it, that is.

If you did the repair like the guy near here (a 69 with a little rust and he turned it into a fiberglass Hot Wheels replica) then you should do it.

Thats what I figured. As a driver nothing beats those little six cylinders. Very ferrari like feel when you are out there on a cool morning!

Hello all again thank you I just found out it is a 2.4 t, is there anything in particuliar I should be worried about when going to see it. Again they say it has 28,000 on the rebuild. It is being brokerd by a shop and they are respectable place so I am fairly confident in it so far.
