Very weird no spark condition

Another pelican buddy here locally is having a really weird no spark condition in his SC. I think his is an 82 or 83 with a pretty-much stock 3.0. Here is the deal:

He can start the car up and runs fine for 10 minutes, and then, cuts out and no spark until later. I am not sure how much later, but in our conversation about it, it sounds like if y ou went out to the car every morning, it does the exact same thing, starts, runs fine for 10 minutes, and then dead.

He has checked most of the ignition system out with the exception of detailed check of the distributor. He has replaced the green wire, changed to an MSD system, new coil. Any ideas?
He is going to post sometime as well, but I have been thinking about his dilemma all morning...

Thanks for thinking of me Shane

I did start a thread here my SC starts fine, but I can't keep it running, doesn't seem like the usual problem.

I'm thinking this is down to the distributor some how. Magnetic pickup ring?

He needs to make sure it is spark related when the problem is happening. Tell him to remove a spark wire lead and ground it to engine block to see if he is getting spark while cranking when the issue is occuring. Otherwise it may be fuel pump related. They go bad or the relays fail and quite possibly it works when fuel pump or relay is cold but then fails as it warms up from useage.
Good luck.
