Project input needed
I, like others I'm sure
![]() 82 - Wayne's old car ![]() ![]() 83 euro SC with 3.2 ![]() I also have a 69 912 roller and parts that I was going to build into a racecar but won't do it now and a 72 roller with a 3.2 of unknown condition with webers that unfortunately in the day was updated to look like a 74 Carrera. ![]() I'd like to get down to one car that is a good DD and 3-5 times a year DE car, get the AC working, etc. Option 1) swap the 3.2 and trans from the track car into the 82 and the 3.0 from the 82 into the track car and then sell the track car. The 3.0 is rebuilt and in good shape, just pretty stock with SSI's. The problem with selling the DE car with the 3.2 is I'll never get value out of it, the engine alone to rebuild to it's current state would run probably $15k. I'd then sell off the other stuff. Option 2) backdate the 72 with the good bits off the track car into at R gruppish car that can be driven daily, softer on the suspension setup than the 83. Major disadvantage is it's a much bigger project but could be a very cool end product. Option 3) sell all and put money towards a 993. Realize I really will be happier longer term with a more modern 911. My friend with a 993 got in my 82 yesterday and loved it. It's so much more raw, light, go cart like....... made me think maybe a 993 is not the way to go. I would love to have the time, money and energy to tackle a big project. I'm worried that I'll never get to it the bigger the project is. That's how I ended up with all this stuff in the first place. I'm in major spin mode over this decision and could use some sage advice.
