3-wire O2 sensor with long cable?
I have a 3.6 conversion with a '91 DME / FI system.
I'm using 993 heat exchangers which have no bung for an O2 sensor since on the 993 the bung is in the middle of the cat. When Ben made my M&K muffler, we put a bung on the left inlet, just behind the flange. I need to replace the O2 sensor and ordered the 964 sensor hoping the wires would be long enough. It alomst makes it, but with hardly any slack. I'd like to find a OEM Bosch 3-wire sensor with a tail that is about 4" (Or More) longer than the 964 part. Can anyone confirm a 3-wire application that I could use for this? It seems that the 993 sensor might work if the DME harness connector is in the same place as in a 964. (Does and early 993 use a 3 wire?) Maybe a late 944 or 928? Thanks!
