915 Oil pump and spray bars for RSR
I bought a bunch of 915 parts recently and in the lot, I found a 915 nose (date stamped '80) which had been modified to include a mechanical speedometer and the RSR oil pump, and included the original oil pickup and spray bars. The only part that was missing was the driven oil pump gear. Does anyone have information on what the missing part looks like. It has to connect to the input shaft somehow to run the pump. Was this only available on the RSR or was it available on street cars as an option?
Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

As I mentioned here it was an optional trans for street and RS cars
the missing gear is 915.307.240.00 and needs 2x bushes 915.307.243.00 if you need a gasket for the gear cover it is 915.307.311.00(.15mm) or 915.307.311.01(.2mm)

Thanks Bil;l
I looked up the part (using your part number) and found the sketch below. I don't see what it connects to inside the trans to turn the pump. It would be nice to see a real photo of that part.

Look at Armando Serrano's website. Google his name along with 914 or RSR or similar Porsche buzzword. It is easy to find.

The end of the main shaft has a U shaped cut in it that the dowel pin on oil pump gear shaft located into. These were prone to wear and need to be checked periodically
The version you have is the street 2.7 RS type From what you have posted, you are missing this drive gear and dowel. It looks like the other oil pump gear, but the shaft is longer and passes thru the cover into the trans

Sweet. Thanks for all of the info, just what I was looking for!
Matt, Thanks for the link, great info there as well. Is this "driven" gear available?
