Would any of the free electrical diagrams linked on the left hand column of the Welcome page be of any use? I see vintage '71 - izzat too early? There are 2 color wiring diagrams with 2 legend sheets (total 4 files to ponder). Some connectors are identified, but it doesn't tell you where they are located physically.

I have all of the electrical diagrams but they don't show (or at least I can't tell) which plug goes to which socket on the (front) firewall...of the 5 I have one working. These are the black plugs that come from the turn signal switch, etc. They are black rubber with a white core....

Mr Bill,

I'm not sure where you are looking - can you post a picture of the area you are interested in. Maybe I can respond with a photo of the same place.

The area is behind the dash and to the left of the steering column. If you look up at it there are 5 plugs where the harnesses from the wipers, head light switch, hazard switch, turn signals(2) connect to the firewall to allow a connection through the firewall to the front fuse panel and other wiring. One is for the wipers and I have found that one. They are hard to see and photograph but I will try at first light tomorrow...thanks, Bill

These must be the connections you are talking about:

I'd be surprised if these pictures answered all your questions. I'll help you, but it might take a few days of back and forth to get everything straightened out.

Thanks for the photos...which plug goes where? I need to know which plug-in is for the turn signals, which for the headlight dip switch, etc...I know that the one in the middle of the group of three is for wipers but what about the other four? Thanks again for your help.....

On my 75 911 the plugs go as follows.Starting on the top left w/top being towards windshield and left being towards drivers door #1 headlight switch #2 emergency flasher Next row below
#1 ? #2 wiper switch #3 ignition switch. I did not mark #1 on the lower row, when reconnecting put the one that is left over here.

Jim...looking up at the switches is the #1 on the left towards the door then #2 next toward the steering column? I am assuming left to right in numbering....thanks, Bill

Sorry, I don't want to hijack, but I did want to comment on Rex's wheel. That looks like a beauty. Can you PM me with details on it? I'm looking for a nice smaller diameter wooden wheel for my 73, Thanks!
