interesting thread.... surprised there aren't more Carrera CS clones

It's fairly easy to tell a real one from a clone, so that might be one reason if someone was trying to pass it of as genuine. For people just modding their car to be like a CS, it would be pretty easy for sure. Maybe it's because they didn't seem to get much focus, perhaps. And they're really not all that different from a regular Carrera.

But mine's kinda close and it came that way from the factory: no sunroof, sport seats with the same Porsche cloth upholstery, 15 inch wheels though they're in my garage with 17s installed. It does have AC, however. But it's currently inoperable, does that count...? ;)

Wish I had never sold my "clone" :( It was '78 with a 3.2 and set up for track duty.
