Pilot bearing replacement procedure for G50?
Have searched but can't find how to replace the pilot bearing. Engine is out on stand and flywheel is accessable.
How do I remove the old pilot bearing? Do I need to remove the flywheel? How do I press the new bearing in? Thanks! ![]()

I just did mine with the flywheel removed. I was able to tap it out with slightly smaller socket. Back in the same way after putting the new bearing in the freezer over night. Note that it is flush on the engine side I believe and protruds a bit on the other. You are supposed to replace those bolts if you remove them too. Here's a tech article and you might check a Bentley. Ken

Ditto, pull the flywheel, use a socket to remove/replace the bearing and replace the bolts.
