Rim questions
Are there any functional differences between Fikse, BBS, and Kinesis wheels? Am I correct in assuming that their rigidity and weight benefits are similar and its more a choice of personal aesthetic preference? Also, were the Speedline wheels used on the 964RS and 964 Turbos their own brand or made for Porsche by Kinesis?
Thanks! Matt |

An engineer once explained to me why Fikses are superior, but I think any of these wheels will be an excellent choice. At this price point, the differences are minor.

I have Fikses myself but as Dantilla says at the price point, they are all good rims. I just liked the look of the FM10s more than the BBS LMs when I bought.

Kinesis made replicas of the Speedlines used by Porsche. There were 2 versions which came in varying widths and o/s v1 3.6t replica and v2 993RS replica also both were available as 17 & 18 true Speedline 3.6t wheels were 8x18 ET52 & 10x18 ET61 true Speedline 993RS were 8x18ET52 & 10x18ET65 true Speedlines will be on the heavy side, mg BBS on the lighter side al BBS and Fikse in the middle

Thank you all. I'm surprised the the Speedlines are the heaviest of the group.
