Cabriolet Top Picture Request

I have searched and found that the boot cover is supposed to strap down with those little elastic straps. They say that they are supposed to hook into rings in the corners of the seats. I cannot find anything like rings. Can anyone get me a good picture of what this is supposed to look like? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I have an '83 cab the clips are there in place but the elastic on the straps is streched on the boot. I found it easier too fasten the 2 lower snaps and then open the rear 2 jump seat tops, hold everything in place. But I must admit I like the look better with them folded down with the top down. Just going to have to live with it, 25 years ain't bad.

Anybody? Right now, I keep my hooks looped through my seat belt latches, but that's clearly not ideal.

Mine were missing also. I bought some from someone on here. I will try to find the ones I bought and post pic on here. What they look like though is a small piece of leather about 3/4" by 1" with a small "D" ring in it. Leather is looped through "D" ring and folded back on itself then sewn together to encapsulate the "D" ring.

Start by folding down rear seat backs so they are flat. Now these will attach to flat areas in the corners of the package area. Near where the side panel and rear carpeted area meet the package shelf. These are just held on by small screw with washers. I am at work till 8AM Mon morn But will try to post tomorrow.

Sorry so winded,

Gregg S.

Sorry--I haven't been able to get out there and take a picture either. If nobody posts one, I'll put one up after work.

The loops are in the rear corners, just above the top of the seats when folded down. You might want to remove the interior side panels (one large black plastic "screw" and one real metal screw) and see if they aren't tucked up under the interior pieces.

You'll definitely want to use them to hold the boot cover in place.

Here's a pic of what the D-clip hooks look like in the back lower corners with the rear seats folded down. This is the right-hand side.
