Zennith Carb Help

I recently purchased a 1970 911T with original 2.2 motor and 5 spd trans. The car was running great, then I started smelling fuel. On the driver rear carb where the throttle rails attaches it leaking fuel, and now has started to back fire on occasion. Could I fix this with a gasket set? It appears when you throttle the rails pushed a rod into carb, when u release throttle the rob release and drips a drop of fuel, not driving car, dont wanna catch fire. Any help would be appreciated

That is your accelarator pump. It is a rubber diaphram. Not uncommon for them to develop cracks and leak They should be in the gasket kit.

thanks will try that, the carbs were rebuilt in 2003 at a cost of 2000 bucks, wow, the guy has only put a few thousand miles on the car since, I bought it ran fine on way home, then smelled the fuel in my garage. noticed a little gas on the engine, tighted everything, replaced hoses, and noticed the drip when throttling. I am a rookie with Porsche, have a few vintage VW's, finally graduating

Save yourself some money and rebuild them yourself. I found this site to be helpful.
