Help With 911 Back Window Defroster

we are a wholesale supplier of glass including many for Porsche models old and new.
We sold a new back window with defroster for the 89-98 carrera Coupe, Customer tells us that he needs it to have 3 heating elements on bottom. The one we sent which I believe was OE had 2 heating elements on the side. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? Never heard of 3 elements on the bottom. Glass is in Canada and we are termining if this is true. thanks! Richard

rear window defogger

My rear window defogger has 3 connections on driver side and one main buss on passenger side, the driver side connections have two wires coming into the engine bay plus the one from the passenger side. The window it self has 3 sections of heating elements, but the upper and the lower section has a jumper wire, those meaning that you either get just the upper and lower defogged or if you switch on high than all 3 elements start to work.

Sorry as I don't have the window here- are any of the connectors on the bottom of the glass itself? Thanks again.
