Question Early "pré cookies" ATS different types

Hi all,

Here is an early ATS wheels 7X15H2 (7155) from 1973

There is a different type of early ATS wheels 7X15H2 (7053)

Could anyone please tell me the difference between those two types?

Is the last type (7053) usable on early 911?

Thank you for your help

Fred

You don't see those wheels too often. I have three of the first wheel pictured and have been looking for a 4th for quite some time. I can't tell you if they'll work on a 911 but I know my 914 racecar used to run them (before the 4th went missing).

Hi,

Thank you for answering Vintage914RAcer;

I am sure the first wheel pictured (7155) is usable on early 911: 5X130

But I can't find any details about the second (7053) wheel pictured

Cheers

I also ran them on my 914.
Be careful, as they are cast, not forged.
I had one that I had to run with an inner tube because of a leak.
Now, you could probably apply some hi-tech sealant to the inner rim surfaces, but in 71, we didn't have the luxury.
I think they are still selling them, as my son put an updated set on his Jetta a couple of years ago.
good luck
